Construction of new Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre including the construction of Day Services (6 large multipurpose Group Therapy Rooms), Outpatients – Consultant Psychiatrist/Psychotherapist & Lithium clinic, Support Services/Team Offices (CMHT, Day Services, CDAT, Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist, Older Adult, Acute and Tribunal Room), Older Adult Inpatient Ward (8 bed unit with support), Acute Inpatient Ward (14 bed including 4 flexi beds), Flexible Extra Care Ward (4 Flexi beds, Mother & baby, eating disorder & short term medium secure) and CAMHS (Group therapy rooms and consultant Psychiatrist/Psychotherapist). The new building provides 10,000sqm over three floors with a total of 77 inpatient beds including HDU and isolation rooms.

The whole building has been designed around a central spine, all accommodation is accessed from this double height space ensuring that the orientation is straightforward. The interior of the building is flooded with natural daylight, and in particular, extensive roof lights provide daylight to the Institute of Health and Social Care Studies on the top floor and nurse bases to the main medical wards.

Refurbishment of existing hospital into new out patients' facilities ward areas and new single storey ward extension. Building in Alderney provides some significant challenges.
